Tonight was art night at school. Kelly was tired by the time I got there, she had stayed after school to help set up. So we didn't stay very long.

After two delays the Daytona 500 FINALLY gets underway !

Today's photo was supposed to be of the Daytona 500, but since it got rain delayed until tomorrow, the photo of the day is the Academy Awards.  George Clooney didn't win Best Actor like I was hoping, but I'm delighted Meryl Streep won.

Honky Tonkin'

Went to see Aaron Watson last night at Gruene Hal with my friend Tammie. Forgot to grab my camera so this was taken with my cell phone.

Spring isn't on the way here yet....

I think we're going to wind up with more snow in February than we've had the whole rest of the winter. It's snowing right now and its supposed to snow all day Sunday too.

You Can't Spell Texas without HEB

Okay so actually you can spell Texas without HEB but it wouldn't be as tasty. I LOVE HEB. We stopped there today after school. Picked up some salmon burgers for dinner. They were made with wild salmon and Oh my gosh were they yummy !!!! Picked up chicken salad for a sandwich tomorrow along with Spinach Orzo salad.I know it would be MUCH cheaper to buy the fruit whole and cut it up, but I'm lazy. LOL I love being able to open the fridge and grab some fruit.

Pretty Package

I ordered a packaged cross stitch. It comes with the pattern, fabric and thread, everything I need to do the design.  And it came packaged sweetly as well!

I seem to have a lime problem !

Yep part of the reason I buy Garnier products is because they are in lime colored containers. Dang forgot to put my Nook in there, the cover on it is lime too !

Fresh Snow

We got a couple of inches of fresh snow over night and I wasn't ambitious enough to venture anywhere outside the neighborhood to take any photos.  So I took this photo out one of my windows.  Normally I'd curse the dark screens on a few of my windows but tonight I thought it made for a cool effect on the photo.  Almost as though its a real life cross stitch!

We love this restaurant. It's been open since we were stationed here in the 80's. the food is good and inexpensive. Service is fast and with a smile. It's in an old taco Bell. El Toro in Universal City, TX. Just outside Randolph AFB.

Accident

My front street is a bus route but its rarely that full of traffic.  But with the main street one block away mostly closed this afternoon because of a dump truck/pedestrian accident/fatality its the main route out of this neighborhood right now.

THe Grammys

Glen Campbell's fan club was the first one I ever joined. I can remember being so excited when the membership stuff came in the mail. Blake Shelton was part of the tribute to Glen.

Saturday in the Park with...Mac?

Went to the park with my cousin so she could let her dog run for a bit.  It was pretty quiet because its still cold, only saw a couple other people out running their dogs.
